lihi Short URL – Terms of Use
lihi Short URL – Terms of Use
Thank you for choosing the lihi Short URL service. LiHai Short URL Co., Ltd. (“the Company” or “lihi”) provides lihi short URL and related services in accordance with these lihi Terms of Use (“these Terms”). By using the lihi short URL service, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. These Terms also constitute part of the agreement between you and the Company. If you do not agree to all or part of these Terms, please do not use any lihi services provided by the Company.
If you are a minor, in addition to your own obligation to comply with these Terms, your parent or legal guardian must carefully read, understand, and agree to all contents of these Terms before you may use or continue to use lihi services and all related features. Use of lihi services by a minor shall be deemed as consent by the minor’s legal representative to such use and to be bound by these Terms.
After the Company changes or revises these Terms, if you continue to use lihi services after such changes or revisions become effective, you and your legal representative shall be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all such changes or revisions.
1. Membership
1.1 Membership Types and Period
Your lihi membership shall remain valid from the time of registration until terminated in accordance with these Terms.
You may choose to use a free membership or paid membership service. Paid members must provide a valid payment method, including a credit card or other payment mechanisms accepted and stated by the Company on its website.
Payment method refers to a currently valid payment tool that is accepted by the Company and third-party payment service providers and may be updated from time to time, including payment methods by which a third-party platform charges your account on your behalf.
Unless you complete the cancellation process in accordance with these Terms before the next billing date, you shall be deemed to have continuously authorized the Company to automatically charge the next billing cycle’s membership fee through the payment method you designated. The automatic renewal terms will be clearly displayed on the plan page and checkout page to remind you of the automatic renewal arrangement.
QR Code stickers are customized products made according to consumer requirements and are one-time purchase items, not subscription-based services. Pursuant to the Consumer Protection Act, the seven-day cooling-off period does not apply. Except where the product itself has a major non-human-caused defect in printing or materials, in which case you may contact customer support within seven days after receipt for replacement, once an order is placed for production, cancellation, return, or refund will not be accepted.
1.2 Plans and Third-Party Promotions
The Company may from time to time provide different membership plans, promotional plans, or special plans in cooperation with third parties, which may be bundled with products or services provided by third parties.
The products or services provided by such third parties shall be the responsibility of the third parties themselves. The Company does not guarantee their quality, content, or after-sales service, unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions of law.
The conditions and limitations of each membership plan, including price, automatic renewal, usage quota, feature limitations, and other details, shall be based on the information disclosed on the lihi official website or plan page. You may log in to the lihi website and check your current membership status and payment information under “Profile,” “Account,” or “Payment Information.”
2. Free Account
2.1 Initial Use
Your lihi membership may begin with a free account. The features and quotas available under the free account shall be based on the actual information disclosed on the lihi website.
2.2 Free Use Period and Abuse Prevention
The free use period and contents of the free plan shall be determined by the Company at its discretion based on operational conditions and marketing plans. The Company may, depending on the circumstances, restrict free use eligibility, features, or duration to prevent abuse or illegal use.
If the Company reasonably suspects that you have violated these Terms, violated laws, or abused a free account, the Company may directly cancel your free use eligibility and suspend or terminate your account.
2.3 Upgrade from Free to Paid
If you upgrade to a paid membership during the free use period or under a free plan, the Company will calculate and charge subsequent billing cycle fees from the time of your upgrade based on the subscription plan and payment method you selected.
Relevant membership fees and account information can be checked under “Account” or “Payment Information.”
3. Subscription Billing and Cancellation (Short URL Service)
3.1 Billing Cycle
lihi membership fees and other fees that may arise from your use of the service, such as taxes and payment processing fees, will be charged to your designated payment method according to the billing date and plan shown on the “Payment Information” page.
The length of the billing cycle, such as monthly or annual billing, shall be based on the subscription type you selected when registering or changing plans.
In cases such as payment failure, plan changes during the period, add-on service purchases, or subscription upgrades or downgrades, your actual billing date may differ slightly from the originally scheduled date.
You may log in to the lihi website at any time and check your next billing date and plan details under “Account” or “Payment Information.”
The Company may pre-authorize charges related to membership or service fees, including authorizing a charge of up to one billing cycle when you register or change plans, in order to confirm the validity of your payment method.
3.2 Payment Method
To use lihi paid short URL services, you must provide one or more valid credit cards or other payment methods accepted by the Company.
If your primary payment method is declined or cannot be successfully charged, you agree that the Company may charge other available payment methods in your account until the payable fees are collected.
You remain responsible for any fees that have not been successfully collected and must ensure that the payment method you provide has sufficient available funds or credit.
If payment fails due to card expiration, insufficient credit, or other reasons, and you do not cancel your account within the required period, the Company may suspend or restrict your use of paid services until payment is successfully completed.
The issuing institution of certain payment methods or the payment platform may separately charge foreign transaction fees, currency conversion fees, or other processing fees. Such fees and applicable taxes shall be subject to the rules of the respective service providers.
3.3 Updating Payment Method
You may log in to your lihi account at any time and update, add, or remove your linked cards or other payment methods under the “Payment Information” page.
The Company may also automatically update your payment method information based on updated information provided by the payment service provider, such as card number updates or expiration date extensions.
After you complete the update, you shall be deemed to have agreed that the Company may continue to charge payable fees through the updated payment method.
3.4 Subscription Cancellation and Refund Policy (Important)
You may cancel your paid membership at any time by following the instructions under “Profile” or “Account.”
After you cancel your paid membership, you may continue to use the paid lihi services until the end of the current billing cycle. After that billing cycle ends, your account will automatically revert to a free account and will be provided with services subject to the limitations of the free plan.
Under the Taiwan Consumer Protection Act and related regulations, where a transaction is a distance transaction and does not fall within a reasonable exception, consumers generally have the right to rescind the contract within seven days. This service is “digital content not provided on a tangible medium or an online service that is completed immediately once provided.” Pursuant to the applicable exceptions to the right of rescission for distance transactions, once credit card payment is completed and the service is immediately provided, the right of rescission under Article 19, Paragraph 1 of the Consumer Protection Act, namely the seven-day cooling-off period, does not apply.
Unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions of law or separately announced by the Company, subscription fees already collected are generally non-refundable, and no proportional refund or offset will be provided for any period shorter than a full membership subscription term.
If laws or competent authorities impose mandatory requirements on subscription-based services, the Company will amend or adjust its refund and cancellation mechanisms in accordance with relevant laws.
Unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions of law, once payment is completed and the paid plan is activated, whether for a monthly or annual plan, mid-term cancellation, refund, or proportional offset is generally not accepted. If a user cancels the subscription during the subscription period, the system will only set the subscription to “stop automatic renewal from the next cycle,” and the existing paid period may still be used until the end of that period.
3.5 Price and Subscription Plan Changes
The Company may, based on operational and market conditions, adjust subscription plan contents and prices at any time, including adjustments to features, quotas, and rates.
When you purchase additional services or upgrade your plan, the Company may recalculate your subscription expiration date and billing cycle. The actual details will be displayed on the checkout page and the “Payment Information” page.
Changes to prices or subscription plans will be notified within a reasonable period in advance through website announcements, email, or other appropriate methods, and will take effect from the next billing cycle. If you continue to use the service after the effective date of such changes, you shall be deemed to have agreed to the changes.
4. lihi Domain Services
If you use lihi Domain services, including domain registration, renewal, transfer, management, DNS settings, WHOIS privacy protection, or other domain-related services, the rights and obligations, refunds, automatic renewal, price adjustments, domain content responsibilities, suspension, and takedown rules for such services shall be governed separately by the lihi Domain Terms of Service and its Privacy Policy.
To avoid duplication and inconsistency between terms, these Terms do not restate the complete domain service rules. If these Terms conflict with the lihi Domain Terms of Service regarding domain service matters, the lihi Domain Terms of Service shall prevail.
5. Prohibited Activities and Service Abuse Prevention
You shall not use lihi services to engage in any illegal, infringing, fraudulent, phishing, malware-distributing, spam-sending, illegal personal data collection, rights-infringing, or otherwise improper activities.
If the Company reasonably suspects that you have violated these Terms, violated laws, infringed third-party rights, or abused the service, the Company may, depending on the circumstances, suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, short links, redirects, analytics, QR Codes, or other related services, and may cooperate with competent authorities, judicial authorities, rights holders, or relevant organizations in accordance with the law.
If a user violates these Terms or laws, or infringes third-party rights, resulting in third-party claims against the Company, penalties imposed by competent authorities, lawsuits, administrative investigations, or damage to reputation, the user shall bear all legal responsibilities and shall compensate the Company for all damages and reasonable expenses incurred as a result, including but not limited to litigation costs, attorney fees, goodwill losses, and technical processing fees.
6. Disclaimer
lihi will make reasonable efforts to maintain the stability and security of the service system, but does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure at all times. To the extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for service interruptions, data loss, business losses, or other damages caused by force majeure, third-party service failures, telecommunications network failures, user configuration errors, security incidents, requirements of competent authorities, or other causes not reasonably within the Company’s control.
These Terms shall not be interpreted as lihi making any independent service level commitment regarding short URL services, domain services, DNS availability, fault recovery time, customer support response time, or any service compensation.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The interpretation, validity, performance, and any disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of China, Taiwan. In the event of litigation arising from this service, both parties agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court shall be the court of first instance.
